Ice Cream Sandwich update for Xperia P, Xperia U, Xperia go, and Xperia sola, brings performance updates and bug fixes

Today, Sony began rolling out an update to Ice Cream Sandwich for the Xperia P, Xperia U, Xperia go and Xperia sola devices that’ll come packed with ‘bug fixes’ and ‘performance tweaks.’ It’s unclear what exactly those tweaks are, but who among us doesn’t like a little tweaking?

Sony Announces It Will Resume Production Of The Xperia Tablet S In Mid-November

You all remember how Sony had to abruptly halt the sales of its Xperia Tablet S models due to some wardrobe malfunctions? Well Sony Japan has confirmed that will resume production of the models by mid-November, meaning we should see the tablet models back in retailers by the holiday season. In addition to that, Sony Japan has also confirmed that it is still honoring free inspections and repair service of the tablet models in most markets, so if you’re an owner and think you may be affected— you can take the tablet to a local Sony retailer and have the device inspected and/or repaired— free of charge.

ZTE announces $160 Quad-Core Tegra 3 smartphone

ZTE, whose website proclaims is the world’s 4th largest manufacturer, announced the cheapest quad-core smartphone yet. The ZTE U950 packs a 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM but its most impressive spec is the 999 yuan price (approximately $160 USD).

Huawei Announces Honor 2 Smartphone. Brings Quadcore Goodness This Time

 

 

Huawei is determined to gain major influence in the Android world and with that in mind, it has announced the Honor 2 smartphone. The device will come jam-packed with a ton of features including an in-house developed quad-core chip with 2GB of RAM, 8 gigs of onboard storage (sigh) and a superior 4.5-inch 1,280 x 720 display with a snazzy 326 ppi. The device will be available for pre-order in China for 1,888 yuan (around $302 USD)— though there’s no indication of if or when the device will be released elsewhere.
