Verizon Samsung Galaxy Camera with LTE confirmed

Just one weeks time ago we captured a glance of the Universe Photographic camera with 4G LTE skate boarding previous the FCC. Now we can all but create it formal thanks to a New samsung item web page (which has since been taken down). The inclusion of LTE should create using you high quick, but the cost is a little challenging to rationalize. No formal costs was described on the item web page, but it should not be too much different than AT&T’s edition, if at all.

Verizon shutting down its App Store by March 2013

For nearly three years, Verizon has offered apps through its own app store on its BlackBerry and Android devices. I suppose it was a decent business model three years ago but it’s hard to imagine too much interest going somewhere else other than the Play Store to get your apps. Times certainly change rather quickly. Beginning in January 2013, Verizon will begin removing its app store from all its devices via a software update. They will continue through March 2013 at which point all Verizon devices will not have the Verizon app store installed any longer.

Verizon HTC DLX (DNA?) makes its way through the FCC

Well, one thing’s for sure; the HTC6435LVW will be coming to Verizon’s network soon. We just don’t know what it’ll be called yet. The sweet device has just gone through the FCC which means that we should see the device in stores within the next couple of weeks. As we learned a couple of weeks ago from the purported Verizon pricing list, the device will likely launch for

Verizon pledges $1.2 million to aid Hurricane Sandy victims

Yesterday Verizon announced that their philanthropic arm, the Verizon Foundation, is pledging $1.2 million to aid victims of Hurricane Sandy. The contribution is split into two parts. The first is a matching pledge by the Verizon Foundation for the first $1 million donated by Verizon customers who contribute through the Text to Donate program. The Text to Donate program enables customers to make a donation to the American Red Cross by sending a text reading REDCROSS to 90999. Doing so will trigger a $10 donation to be included on the customer’s next bill or withdrawal from a prepaid customer’s balance. Verizon indicates they are waiving any fees to ensure 100% of donations reach the American Red Cross. Customers can elect to contribute up to $50 via texting.

Verizon’s Droid DNA render caught in black and red; Could December be its possible launch month?

Verizon is just about set to release HTC’s latest juggernaut in the HTC Droid DNA, which was also previously known as the DLX and Butterfly J over in Japan. The people over at evleaks have released a render shot of the DNA proudly touting Verizon’s signature red accent around the trimming of the device.

New Jelly Bean Build Leaks Out For The DROID RAZR HD And DROID RAZR MAXX HD Smartphones, Brings Us One Step Closer To Buttery Goodness

Sure it sucks that some of you who splurged on the Motorola DROID RAZR HD or RAZR MAXX HD smartphones got shafted with Ice Cream Sandwich instead of Jelly Bean loaded up, but fear not— because the Jelly Bean is officially circulating in the wild… well sorta. The gang at DroidRzr found a mysterious software system build of version 9.1.39 which brings the Android OS to version 4.1.1 and as you can see, brings all the typical Jelly Bean goodies like Google Now.

Samsung Stratosphere 2 images leak out

There are still quite a few users out there that prefer a real keyboard on your phones as opposed to a virtual one. After all, there’s a reason manufacturers still release this type of device. Today, courtesy of @evleaks (once again), we’re seeing some pictures leaked which look very much like the Stratosphere 2. It was about this time last year that Version released the original Stratosphere, so the timing seems to be right. As it’s merely a leaked picture, there’s obviously nothing to report as far as specs or pricing but we should see something official very soon. However, based on last year’s version, we can expect modest mid-range specs as this is an important variant in Verizon’s stable.

Thanks to a support page, Verizon’s HTC Droid DNA confirmed

Remember the awesome 5″ 1080p HD device that came out in Japan as the HTC Butterfly J? Verizon has been rumored for a while now to carry the device and thanks to a support page, the name has been verified to be the HTC Droid DNA. Kind of an odd name if you ask me. Either way, this will be one hell of a device with high end specs.
